Cal Women’s Volleyball Returns to Haas Pavilion to Host NC State and Wake Forest in ACC Play
Golden Bears bring a 13-4 overall record into weekend home matches on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon in Berkeley.

The University of California women's volleyball program returns home to Haas Pavilion in Berkeley this weekend for a crucial pair of Atlantic Coast Conference matchups against visiting North Carolina opponents. Entering the homestand with a 13-4 overall record and a 3-3 mark in ACC competition, the Golden Bears will face NC State on Friday at 7:00 p.m. before hosting Wake Forest on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Athletic department officials confirmed that admission gates along Bancroft Way will open one hour prior to first serve for both conference contests.
Friday evening's opener pits the Golden Bears against an NC State squad that also holds a 3-3 conference record, creating an immediate opportunity for either team to climb into the upper tier of the conference standings. On Sunday afternoon, Cal takes on a Wake Forest roster currently sitting at 2-4 in conference play. Historical matchup records show that while Cal holds an even split record in previous meetings against NC State, the Golden Bears have not yet beaten Wake Forest in conference play and are eager to secure their first victory over the Demon Deacons.
Cal head coach Jen Malcom emphasized the roster's preparation and competitive enthusiasm ahead of the weekend doubleheader during media availability in Berkeley. Malcom stated that the players and coaching staff are really excited to keep playing really good teams and showcasing who they are as a team in front of home supporters. Youth volleyball clubs from Walnut Creek, Orinda, and Oakland have organized group outings to Haas Pavilion, reflecting strong East Bay community engagement with collegiate women's athletics.
University athletic board administrators and campus transit coordinators advised spectators traveling from Contra Costa and Alameda counties to utilize BART and AC Transit routes serving downtown Berkeley to avoid weekend parking congestion around Telegraph Avenue. Campus recreation officials noted that strong home attendance bolsters student-athlete support programs and strengthens the athletic department's competitive transition within the Atlantic Coast Conference. Concession stands and team merchandise kiosks inside Haas Pavilion will feature special autumn family promotions throughout both matches.
Volleyball fans, students, and East Bay families can purchase single-match tickets, review arena clear-bag policies, and access live statistical broadcasts online at calbears.com. Both weekend matches will also stream live for conference network subscribers unable to attend in person at Haas Pavilion. Questions regarding group seating packages, accessible seating accommodations, or box office hours on Bancroft Way may be directed to the Cal Athletics ticket department at (800) 462-3277.
